AMBASSADOR TEITELBAUM CALLS ON TOURISM MINISTER.

The U.S Ambassador to Ghana H.E Donald Gene Teitelbaum has paid a courtesy call on the new tourism minister madam JulianaAzumah Mensah at her office in Accra. Holding talks, the U.S Ambassador said, tourism was not only importantant for Ghana but like the U.S and the world at large. " We have strong relationship between Ghana interms of tourism ". He said his outfit was ready to fund and partner Ghana in hosting various up-coming project as has been done by America perious years ago. The Minister of Tourism Madam JulianaAzumah Mensah thanked the minister for his second visit after assuming office and commeded the U.S Embassy for their good works over the years with regards to tourism. "We thank your outfit in support our "Kakum National park".She said the ministry was yet to add more value to the Kakum park for more tourist attraction.The Minister said it was the aim of the ministry to target more from the U.S because they wanted to get into the U.S market and inview of that,the embassy in Accra would play a great role .She also called for U.S assistance in capacity building training at all levels and informed him of the upcoming United Nation Tourism Day which will be hosted in Ghana."Tourism will be decentralised to the local people and improve tourism to help create more jobs for them" she said. Finally they exchanged gifts .
