The Center for Policy Analysis (CEPA), in Ghana has formally launched a manual on the poverty reduction strategies in Ghana.The book titled "Poverty reduction strategies in action:perspectives and lessons from Ghana" is in four parts.The First part talks about poverty,inequality and reform approaches,part two talks about the designing,implementi
ng,financing and monitoring the GPRS,whiles the third parts talks about the special topics in poverty reduction and the last part about lessons and the wayforward.The manual's introduceses the evolution of poverty in Ghana since 1960 to 2000 and analyzed by Dr.Joe Amoako Tuffuor and Dr.Bartholowmew Armah who are the editors of the book.At the launch the Government statistician of Ghana,Dr.Grace Bediako reviewed the book together with DR. Emmanuel Akwetey,Executive director of the Institute of Democratic Governance (IDEG).The book was formally launched by Dr.J.L.S Abbey the Executive Director of CEPA. Other dignitries to the event includes the Ambassador of the kindom of the Netherlands,her excellency Lidi Remmelzwaal.
