Family Health International (FHI) a non governmental organisation has honoured Dr. Fred Torgbor Sai an honorary professor of community health for excelling in his fields and torching many lives. The program which was in a form of lecture took place in Accra with representation from health practitioners, clergy, government, academicians and the public. Dr. Al Siemens, chairman and CEO Family heath international delivered a lecture themed “The future of international family planning and reproductive health”. Tributes delivered from the health fraternity include high profiled persons such as Dr. Peter lamptey, president of public health programs of FHI and Dr. Pramilla Senanayake reproductive health consultant on behalf of the international Planned Parenthood federation. Others include Dr. Gilford Ashitey a professor of community health at the University of Ghana medical school and Dr.Hilda Hanum Akhter president society for health promotion links on behalf of population action international all gave tribute on close working relationship with Dr. Fred Sai and congratulated him for coming this far. The Family heath International present to him a plaque and a cash price award which Dr. Sai intend donated it to his scholarship fund at the University of Ghana. The authorities at the university commended him for is generous act and asked the public to emulate such behaviours to move education in the country forward especially extending hands to the brilliant but needy student in Ghana.By;Michael Amedor
