MTN ROLLS OUT 3.5G NETWORK

Giants of the telecommunication industry MTN,has formally rolled out its new 3.5G network in Accra. The technology which was piloted for three months will compilent its exisiting 2G network to impact every aspect of the lives of its customers.This 3.5G network will allow customers to achieve a data base transmission of up to 3.6 megabites per second and expand beyond 7.2 megabites per second.It also allow high speed download of videos,voice,text and data services. The theme for the launch was "Go beyond,experience our better life today". The Chief executive Officer of MTN Brett Goshen said the network was launched with the widest and best connection in Accra,Tema and Kumasi and will be expanding aggressively to major cities in the months to come."This launch i guess show how committed we are by providing the necessay product to our customers to suit every one".Mr.Goschen siad MTN will continue to to anticipate the current and emerging needs of all targeted stakeholders and provide th highest quality services and speed. The minister of communication Haruna Iddrisu congratulated MTN for their great strive for making available to both voice,dataand video services to encourage effective communication among Ghanaians.Government will use this new tehnology to further develope its e-governance program to make it more effective.Mr.Iddrisu also cautioned MTN and other telecom providers in the country to regulate and correctly erect their masts.He pledged government total support to making the telecommunication industry a viable one.Some products of the new netork includes MTN VIdeo call,MTN mobile broad ban and MTN portal download.
