LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT IS NOT ASSEMBLY LINE-NUMABA COBBAH

The Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communication Africa (STRACOMM) Esther Amba Numaba Cobbah has advised the youth to be discoverable and cultivate the endowment that God has given them but not to see it as an assembly line as find in factories. “I hope u people will take up the challenge of today courageously and not let anyone make you believe that you are relevant only for the future”. The CEO disclosed this at the National Young Leaders Summit in Accra organized by WAVES International under the theme “What is in your hand? The key to addressing leadership challenges”. The old has really messed up and the youth have to clean it up, she challenged them. Out lining most of the problem in the country even though it is endowed with much natural resource such as gold, diamond, malaria, poverty among others still live with us. It is some times due to lack of information on preventive behaviours among communities and individuals in the country, she advised the youth to be more abreast with much information as possible. I wonder why we cannot use energetic, mentally active youth, including students as a channel of needed information and behavioral change .Even success in going through the educational system does not provide job opportunities .Attempt to find solutions through the national youth employment programme have themselves resulted in further problems such no salary and no significant impact of the scheme on the youth .Some of these failures have led to the high number of youth leaving the country to abroad for greener pastures and being at risk from non-compliance with immigration rules. As Ghana has been noted by the world over as a transit point in narcotics trade, the youth was caution to desist far away from it to help them achieve their future ambitions since drug cases normally leads to several years of imprisonment .Numaba Cobbah in her final words advised the youth to exercise their franchise peacefully in the coming elections and desist from any illegal activities that will jeopardice the peace enjoyed in the country and to also help them meet their long lasting dreams. The Chief Executive officer of Jonah Capitals,Sam Jonah also empowered the young leaders with more motivational talks such;been able to identify opportunity as a leader by being very observant and promotion of good reputation as one of the greatest assests in life. Execellency is not an art but rather a habit so it important to develop it as early as possible. He further added that some people had greatness bestole on them but others need to work hard for it through effective public relations to be successful ,know who you are. The Managing Director of CAL Bank Ghana Limited Frank Adu Jnr. Advised the young leaders to look up to great men in society and learn a lot from them to make them more proactive in their daily lives. “Most failure of the youth and even some elderly in society is lack of communication, until we are able to communicate with the mind we cannot succeed”. There is no formular to success.Do good to all mankind, have a great vision in life and work steadly towards it. WAVES International is a youth oriented non-profit making organization with the vision of empowering the youth of Africa with entrepreneurial, professional and leadership skill through effective mentoring to e
