NANA KOFI AGYEKUM who was the main speaker at the press conference said that, the recent call by the former president Mr. Jerry John Rawling, to call for Lunch at his ridge office to discuss issues on the country’s security calls much to be desired. The critical issues here is that can we determine the issue to be ‘MISFEASANCE ‘which has a legal interpretation of doing a lawful act in an unlawful manner. Can we also discuss further that the issue is one of an act which a legal phrase in Latin is“ACTUS NON FACIT REUM, NISI MENS SIT REA”which also interprets as an act does not make one guity, unless one has a guilty mind? In any case if you the former president had any intention of the security of the country at heart the right thing to do was to seek the audience of the president to discuss matters pertaining to chat, but he acted a if he was the sitting president. The behaviors of the former president demonstrates a gross display of hypocrisy on his part, and impinged a serious display of NDC’s ignorance of moral courtesy, to give reverence to the sitting president instead, than to flagrantly support the act to create the controversy. This is a shameful mediocrity of our time, and must be discountenanced in no uncertain terms. The entire NDC’s members since the genesis of jerry Rawlings in our national politics see nothing wrong with whatever misconduct he does but rather garner support for him when he misbehaves. It is very pathetic to hear the spokes person of the former president blatantly endorsed the stance he took to call the former senior military and the police capos to discuss national security in the private office without giving recognition of discussing it with the president. The front pages caption of the Daily Guide news paper on 6th October 2008 conspicuously capture former president Rawlings introducing General Smith, former chief of defense Staff, and he is turn introduced one of his colleagues on a political platform. In principle knowing the former president is important to critically discuss the import of what of what this drama is all about. Were these Generals the same people he invited to his Ridge office to discuss issues of national security? Why did he introduce them on platform at a political rally when NDC was launching their party’s manifesto, should we accept that they are politicians but not former security apparatchiki who have good intention of the state? This demonstrates the clear intentions of the former president his decision to call them to his office in discussing matters of national security as incontrovertibly, a display of hypocrisy of the highest older. in any case does Rawlings now want to tell Ghanaians that there is something good in former senior security officers or military generals and could contact them in times of need if possible? Then, why did he kill our former heads of state in the persons of General Akwasi Amankwa Afrifa, General Lgnatius Kutu Achempong and General F.W.K Akuffo?Does he know that there is always something good to contact former serving officers like Utuka, Felli, Kotei, Amedume and Yaw Boakye? We are here to demonstrate and depict what actually went wrong in the days of the infamous revolution of the 1979 by the former president Jerry Rawlings who rather came to deceive Ghanaians that he was doing a house cleaning exercise, took our fifty cedis which almost cut across board. Vulnerable citizens and their widows mite and virtually rendered them financially in solvent .It was in this period we saw our mothers and grandmothers lashed with canes at their back and were stripped naked by exposing their sexual organs to the public.
THOSE WERE THE DAYS OF EYE HAN, EYE KANIA.
At the heat of the revolution, few days later Ghanaians had the shock of their lives when a former head of state General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong and Utuka were killed by firing squad, again on 26th of June 1979, two former heads of state, General Akwasi Amankwa Afrifa and General F.W.K Akuffo, others were General Kotei, Real Admiral J.K Amedume and Air vice marshal Yaw Boakye were killed by Rawlings. This is very critical school of thought for the youth of this country to give them informing opinion to express to exercises their franchise in this coming election .Though most of the youth are eighteen years plus and do not have idea of what actually went wrong but we are hereto inform them a brief history of our inglorious past and deeds that were committed by the FATHER AND FOUNDER of National Democratic congress(NDC) whose taste of water, which is vital component in human body, is “his lust for blood” These were fine senior military officers whose training was footed at a very expensive cost by the state. Why did he kill them? What was the IMPORT of the action? Today, does Rawlings want to convince Ghanaian that officers he promoted during his reign are the most indispensable in our national security and can trap their experience to augment the efforts of the state security in time of crises? I can say emphatically that Ghana as a country should watch Rawlings seriously since he did the same thing in 1979 when he non-chalantly handed over power to Liman. Hear him and I read” WE ARE HANDING OVER POWER TO YOU CIVILIANS, AND WE ARE GOING BACK TO THE BARRACKS AND SHALL SEE FROM THE,THAT IF YOU FAIL TO FULFILL THE WISHES OF THE PEOPLE, WE SHALL SEE TO UNSEAT THEE”.
Is he the power broker of the state of Ghana?Or is he the remnant of colonialist regime that gave independence to the State of Ghana and can take it at will, any time he wishes? Ghanaian should open their eyes and be watchful of Rawlings satanic activities .As we usher into another general election come the 7th December, 2008, it is imperative to target the youth as vital segment in the elections since most of them are now eighteen years and little above that. Did they see Rawlings in his “huhudious” stature in 1979 when he threw this country into anarchy? Rawlings no doubt believes that he is the power MACHO of Ghana and can decide at will who to give power and who to take it from. I implore the youth to treat his actions with disdain and discard all what he stands to achieve vehemently to save Mother Ghana. In the year 2001, when Rawlings was handling the over power to president Kuffuor, little did he knows that the country was going to be transformed and the country developed to its present status. One of the ministers, Ekow Spio Garbrah, said they would see where president kuffour could manage to get money to pay salaries of workers for even two months. The issue of who found the Ghana is also debatable, if the NDC claim they founded the GNPC for the purposed of oil exploration in the this country in their nineteen years rule, I don’t think they were able to give Ghana the needed quantity of oil for export.Ladies and Gentle of the press to set the record straight we were told that the P/NDC government was exporting some quantities of oil abroad, could they account for these exports? The issue of oil exploration in every country is serious business which requires huge capital in exploration if he has no confident in the government he is dealing with and the people who matter in the terrain. What we have seen today that the chief executive office (C.E.O) of KOSMOS ENERGY, Mr. James muscleman indicated on 3rd October, 2008 in daily guide
newspaper that this company was going to spend extra three billion U.S dollars in other
Exploratory work, is a confidence booster, and, no means an achievement for president
Kuffuor and NPP government.Ladies and gentle men, we should not ignore the fact that the wells Tsatsu discovered arethe same well that the NPP has discovered oil in commercial quantities for export, if so,Why couldn’t the P/NDC government over a perennial period of nineteen years discover oil in commercial quantity? That is the essence of non-confidence in the P/NDC regime of foreign Direct Capital (FDC).Now with bluff the audacity, they want to impress Ghanaian to allow them manage the revenue of oil exports come 2010.Don’t we think the people who have made it possible to discover oil in commercial quantities can jeopardize the process if the NDC comes toPower? They were there for nineteen years but nothing good came out of it.
President Kuffour’s NPP government has given Ghana the commercial quantity of oil for export come 2010,that is the crux of the matter. This in practice signifies the extent of confidence level the company has in the government. Did we see in the P/NDC era when they made a whole lot of hullabaloo and propaganda on oil finding? They claim to have export oil to some countries, could they account for these monies?Today, they have the audacity to ask Ghanaian to give them the credence to manage the oil we have founded in the President Kuffour’s era. Our critiques also imputed to have President Kuffour the numerous travels abroad and times castigate him for embarking on trips. Can we now asses the gains from the travels abroad? We benefited from a four billion, two hundred million U.S dollars debt relief, that has propelled the country in its present developed status.Monies which were supposed to have been generated internally to service and repay our debt are now kept for for the development. That is the truth. On Radio programmes,we normally listen to most panel members from the political divide, especially Kwesi Pratt and some NDC speakers always criticizing the president for spending millions U.S to build presidential palace instead of hospitals and schools. This is untenable and a clear display of intellectual dishonesty.Or is it because they do not understand the legal agreements on loans and grant we received, that in any such agreement, the terms of reference always occupy the centre stage of the agreement and can never be ignored or overlooked? You can not be given a Loan for the purposes of building a school, to develop a hospital. In the summary if one critically analyses the cheap politics of the opposition you only end up to described them as a branch of political cabals whose main focus is on hang on to power at all cost, whether we perish or live. There is nothing new in the NDC if we see faces like Hon. Mensah and others likeminded colleagues whose main school of thought is “SHITOCRACY”.In their days if you opposed them, your office could be desecrated with human excreta and you would be found wanting if you criticized the government policy and there was suppression of dissent and victimization of the individual. The decline of Africa economies, started way back in 1975 when most Africa countries had to inherit a financial gap of 40%,to be able to clinch a foothold, a country has to mobile internal generation of 60% to manage the economy. Our governments always complain of delays of inflows that are expected to cushion the economy from the multilateral, bilateral and other financial institution like the World Bank, I.M.F, international Monopoly financial Capital, all these institutions constitute to supplement the economy of most African states as a result. The trend has followed till today, perhaps we yet to know any African country to demystify the trend. We are engage in a polemical battle with our brothers at the other side over ideological idiosyncrasy of which to rule the country this January 7th, 2009 .If today they are enjoying the serene and the accommodating political atmosphere, why should they have the audacity to criticize deceptively the good policies of the N.P.P government? I therefore launch the execution of the eight former senior military generals calendars in their memory duly launch.
