"ISSUES OF LIFE" CELEBRATES IT'S 1st ANNIVERSARY

The Independent television programme "Issues of Life"-healthy cooking for healthy living has celebrated its first anniversary in Accra.Speaking at the occassion the host of the programme Diamond Agbeke thanked all who through diverse means helped in the promotion of the programme over the past years. "Thank God we have come this far". She advised the public to keep eating local foods and plant because it has great nutrient that will help in the development of the human body. "Keeping to healthy diet does not require you to be a rich person".It is important for us to change our eating habits and prepare them in hygienic and healthy manner. "We can prevent diseases such as diabetes,obesity,cholera among others when we practice good hygiene ". Diamond reteriated that the programme will continue this year to help educate Ghanaians and also promote good eating habits,she called on corporate entities to help in the sponsorhip of the programme to further enrich it.In a statement read onbehalf of the former minister of Health, Major RTD Courage Quarshigah, it called on Ghanaians to exercise,drink enough water,have accurate sleep and among all practice good eating habits and hygiene. "Governmet will always waste tax payers money on preventable disease instead of using it for other profitable national development.Mrs. Yvonne Ndoum of the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra did a presentation on some cheap local foods that has neutrient values and how important it is to serve it to customers who come to her hotel.
