PAN-AFRICAN PARLIAMENT OBSERVER MISSION COMMEND GHANAINS FOR A PEACEFUL ELECTION

The Pan-African Parliament Observer Mission (PAP) through their interim report have congratulated Ghanaians for observing a peaceful electoral process in selecting a new president and parlimentarians to govern the country. The report further commended the indepent Electoral Commission of Ghana for a smooth running of the electoral process and been responsible to help voters cast their votes.
The Media was also congratulated for good coverage and keeping the public informed at all times. Various security agencies involved in the electoral process were also commended for keeping calm in the country.
The Mission recommended that the EC of Ghana needed to put in place an easy mechanism for the process of voter transfer,improve light provided during counting at some polling stations,names in voter register should be arranged in alphabetical order among others.
