McCain evaluates Obama

McCain: Obama has "done well".

John McCain thinks President Barack Obama is doing all right.
Asked how Obama was doing so far, the Arizona Republican_Obama’s GOP opponent last year_told CBS’ “Face the Nation,” “I think he’s done well.”
McCain praised Obama’s legislative successes, saying that so far, “He has achieved literally every one of his legislative accomplishments.”
But the news was not all good: Obama won, McCain said, “by picking off a couple of Republicans. It’s not been bipartisan, so there really hasn’t been that much change in the climate of Washington.”
Obama won passage of his $787 billion economic stimulus plan with the support of only three GOP senators. McCain warned that Obama faces some big challenges ahead, notably in North Korea and on health care.
McCain, a member of the Senate health committee, was critical last week of how Democrats began writing health care overhaul legislation but would not deal with the cost.
“I’ve never seen anything like it since I’ve been in the Senate,” he said.
