The National road safety commission of Ghana has held a day seminar on towing services in Accra. Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Executive Director of the Commission Mr. Noble Appiah said the objective of the seminar was to put in place short term measures to remove disabled vehicles from highways to prevent road accidents which already are on the increase. It is also to engage key stakeholders to provide some input into a strategy that would make commercialization of vehicle services, efficient, sustainable and nationwide.
He said stakeholders will also use the meeting to review and refine various proposals received by the commission to enable them formulate strategy that will address the concerns of all stakeholders. He finally said he wish the expectation of the meeting will be met at the close of the meeting.
