Bayport financial Services(Ghana) do not only give loans- Mr. Adu -mensah

The General Manager of Bayport financial Services (Ghana) a non-banking financial institute Mr.kofi Adu -mensah disclosed last week that his outfit does not only give loans but support various level of education in the country as its social responsibility package through contributions to funds such as the Otumfuo Educational Fund, Okyeman Environmental Fund among others. “The most endearing of all these sponsorships is the institution scholarship program in collaboration with the Ghana national Association of Teachers for brilliant but needy children who are wards of teachers”. He disclosed this at the formal launch of Bayport Financial Services (Ghana) in Accra.
This scholarship program is in its second year and each year ten of such children is selected, one from each region is provided full scholarship from senior high school level through to tertiary level. The cost of each scholarship per child for eight years is estimated at GH¢11,000.Mr. Adu-mensah further stated the company from inception has written about GH¢220,000 loans to about 112,000 clients of which 74,000 are still active. Due to the fact that our loans are unsecured, we rely on the co-operation of employers to on our behalf deduct from source the monthly installments from our clients’ salaries.
He said once this arrangement with the employer is established, the employee can pick a loan form from any of their branches, complete and endorsed by employer then the employee can get his loan with 30 minutes with any sign of identification such as passport, pay-slip among others .Mr.-Mensah reiterated that his outfit is ready to partner everybody to bring their hopes and dreams to fruitions. Also present at the launch was Mr. Dominic Donkor representing the minister of Finance and Mr. Dela Serlormey representing the Governor of the bank of Ghana. Bayport Financial Services is part of the Bayport Management Group with its head office in Mauritius and its subsidiaries in South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda and Ghana. Bayport Financial Services (Ghana) has 23 branches which are all networked through out the country with 205 permanent staff and 150 contract workers. Ghana Financial Services is a re-brand of Bayport Financial Services(Ghana).
