ACCRA POLYTECHNIC HOLDS 16TH MATRICULATION.

The Rector of Accra Polytechnic Dr Festus Addo-Yobo on the occasion of the 16th matriculation has officially welcomed new students to the school.
Dr Festus lamented that,polytechnic education differs from that of the universities in the selection of subject areas;"ours are typically,technical,applied arts and sciences and engineering and vocational training.The courses in the polytechnics are closer to what the market demands and we expect the polytechnic graduates to make use of a large percentage of what is taught in the classroom in making impact on the market place within the short to medium term".

He also noted that,the polytechnic is in a position to provide internet access in each of the classroom blocks campus.We aim to broadcast over the entier campus so that anyone with laptop can sit anywhere on campus and browse. "Rome was not build in day and yet we have managed to acquire all the infrastructure to make these possible".We are also implementing an ambitious programme to provide e-library facilities in all our reading rooms.

In his concluding remarks,he called on the students to develop competence,which comes with pratice.He advice them to learn to avoid mistakes and also said that,he want Accra Polytechnic to become the breeding ground for future entrepreneurs,who will build wealth creating entreprises for our homeland Ghana.
