CONCERNED STUDENTS OF IPS OBSERVE PEACE WALK

Over the weekend, a group known as the Concerned Students of the Institute of Professional in Madina located within the Ga east district in Accra observed a peace walk towards the forth coming elections in December. The walk which was themed "Building a sustainable future through peace" was started from the IPS campus through to some of the principal streets within the municipality and ended at Zongo Junction Park at Old Road. At the park, various political aspiring Members of Parliament representing their political party delivered speeches on peace. The incumbent MP representing the NDC called on all electorate to exercise their franchise peacefully on the day of election and make friends with brothers from other parties but should not see them as enemies. He donated generously towards the walk and called on all present to vote for NDC. The CPP aspirant for Adentan municipality also delivered message on peace and gave his widows might to support the program. The NPP aspirant Baba Zakari who earlier promised of coming failed to attend the walk and all means possible to reach him proved futile. The teamed made merry to end the walk. The Concerned Students of IPS is a voluntary group in the school consisting of young energetic men and women ready to defend the good course of mankind and especially in issues affecting IPS.
