e.tv Ghana to Launch soon

The television landscape in Ghana is about to witness an exciting rebirth with the upcoming launch of e.tv Ghana. e.tv Ghana is a free-to-air commercial channel aimed at bringing premium television services to Ghanaians.
Akwasi Agyeman, Chief Executive of e.tv Ghana says, “Our programming is focused on the audience and what they want to watch. We will offer top-notch programming using the latest technology delivering crystal clear images.” Local Programs will include Rise and Shine (6 – 8am, weekdays), the Big Hook (Mon – Thu @ 8:30pm) and e.tv Ghana Prime news (8pm daily). Celebrated international series like Scandal, Rhythm City, Young and Restless, Fear Factor, WWE Wrestling and block buster movies will entertain viewers.
Born out of a partnership between Global Media Alliance Ghana Ltd and Sabido Investment (PTY) LTD of South Africa, the launch of e.tv Ghana stems from Sabido’s success with e.tv in South Africa. In 1998, e.tv South Africa was launched as the first free-to-air channel. Today it’s the largest English-medium channel in that country.
Agyeman continues, “e.tv Ghana will benefit greatly from the synergies in programming and content acquisition that e.tv South Africa brings to the table. Their experience in Africa has provided us with the learning’s to succeed in Ghana.”
Bronwyn Keene-Young, e.tv’s Chief Operating Officer says, “e.tv is excited to be involved in this new venture and looks forward to e.tv Ghana becoming a market leader in West Africa.”
Viewers will be able to read a weekly e.tv Ghana programme guide in the Sunday World newspaper, with radio stations Y FM (107.7 fm), Happy FM (98.9 fm) also updating listeners about our programmes.
