GHANA RANKED 10TH IN WORLD CYBER FRAUD.

Ghana has been ranked 10th country among the world's top cyber fraud (Sakawa) countries according to statistics on internet usage. This was disclosed at the launch of Microsoft internet safety and security campaign in Accra.The launch organised by Microsoft in partnership with the ministry of Education ,Ministry of Communication, Focus on Ghana ,K Inet and AIESEC today .The program is aimed at facilitating information technology capacity building in Ghana and making students good cyber citizens. According to statistics on internet usage,Ghana ranks 10th in Africa on growth in internet usage .
Microsoft Internet Safety and Security focus on Ghana (MISSFOG) as the campaign is dubbed is a six year's long program to benefit eighteen different senior high schools from six different regions in Ghana.Participating senior high schools will be engaged in workshops and a technology awearness seminar will be held on university campuses to facilitate essay writing competitions at all levels as four universities will be selected to join the campaign later.Speaking at the launch the country Director for Focus on Ghana Mr. Joshua Kwabla Kwashie said the unlimited potentialprogram is a Microsoft initiative targeted at delivering relevant accessible and affordable solutions in three interrelated areas that are crucial to developing economic opportunity transforming education,fostering local innovation and enabling jobs and opportunities. The Minister of education Alex Tettey Enyo congratulated the organizers of the program and cautioned cyber fraudsters to put a stop to it cause when caught the law will take it main course.
