The World Cocoa Foundation have held a day partners and stakeholder meeting in Accra.The meeting was aimed at strengthening good tides between the main stakeholders of the ECHOES alliance programme and bring practical education to young people in cocoa growing communities.The stakeholders coming together also enable them accessed what they have achieved so far. In an interview with The Ghanaian Reactor Online, the education program Director of World Cocoa Foundation Mr. Charlie Feezel said it was important to educate the youth in cocoa issues to help them take active interest in Agriculture and especially cocoa farming to help sustain the industry. He said his outfit will help cocoa farmers in devising various positive methodlogy' in cocoa faming to bring the desired benefit to farmers . Mr Feezel cautioned farmers who indulge under aged children into into cocoa farming to stop but rather support them with the necessaryn education to help them develope fully. Diane Mull of the International Initiative to End Child Labour presented the mid term monitoring and evaluation report.Mrs Josepine Kufuor -Duah ECHOES liaison at the Ghana Education service commended World Cocoa Foundation for their good works in helping develope Ghana's cocoa industry.Other speakers at the meeting was Mr.Robert Hellyer Director USAID mission to Ghana.
