VIASAT 1 TO STAY FOCUSED IN BUSINESS-MIALL-D'AOUT

The CEO of the Free-TV Emerging Market Modern Times Group (MTG)AB, Laurence Miall-d'Aout has reveiled through a press conference in Accra some works by the new TV station to stay accurately in business. Since the launch of Viasat 1 on 12th December 2008 in Ghana,she said the company has come up with new strategic ideas to make Viasat 1 the most loved,entertaining and most watched free television network in Ghana.Outlining the overview of the company ,she said "Viasat 1 is currently broadcasting in 29 countries". "The MTG operates the largest commercial radio network in Northern Europe and we are the biggset nordic players in internet retailing and content production".Miall-d'Aout further stated that,the company will add local productions from Ghana to their schedule of prgrammes in due time. She said her outfit had set-up transmitter sites in the Greater Accra,Ashanti,central and western region to enable them cover commercially,the most important and densley populated areas of Ghana. "Our plans are that the Greater Accra site will be significantly vamped up in terms of power in order to increase picture and sound quality and coverage". Norther region transmitter sites will be setup later to cover that part of Ghana she added " . She said it was the hope of Viasat 1 to develop good relationships with newspapers, magazines and radio stations in the country to provide TV viewers with what they actually want.Viasat 1 is part of Modern Times Group (MTG)AB first TV channel in Africa.The group was founded 22 years ago.Other TV station under the care of the group include TV3.

Dear blog, you got it wrong. The channel was launched on 12 December 2008. It has been broadcast in Ghana for close to two months.
